A few years ago, a soccer injury left me dealing with sciatica in both legs and TMJ in my jaw — the kind of pain that doesn’t just hurt your body, it takes everything from you mentally too. Music was the place I could go where none of that existed. I’d sit down, open a session, and for however long I was in it, I was somewhere else entirely.
TCA$$O Sounds grew out of that. The name comes from Picasso — not the legend, but the worker. The guy who made thousands of things, threw most of them out, and kept only what had real weight. That’s the standard I hold every loop to. If it doesn’t feel like something, it doesn’t leave my hard drive.
My influences run deep through R&B and trap — Don Toliver, Kanye, Travis Scott — but I’ve never been content just staying in one lane. You’ll hear me experiment, drift, and come back. That’s what keeps the sound honest.
I’m sharing this music because it helped me through the hardest stretch of my life. If even one of these loops helps someone else find that same escape — that’s enough.
